Forklift Operator and Material Handler

SHIFT: 1st Shift Material Handler (5:30a-4p or 4:30a-3p M-Th) $19.50/hour

This role supports a start-to-finish manufacturing operation that produces tables and beds for the wellness and healthcare industry. You will move materials throughout the facility using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensure accurate inventory transactions in the ERP system, and deliver components to production lines to keep manufacturing running smoothly. The position works primarily on 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, with the opportunity for overtime and occasional work on later hours that include a shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of warehouse handling equipment, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and large roller ladders to move materials safely and efficiently.
• Move materials to and from the production lines to support continuous manufacturing operations.
• Utilize the ERP system to look up and research purchase orders, specific inventory items, and inventory by location.
• Receive incoming shipments into the ERP system on applicable purchase orders and ensure accurate data entry.
• Run, create, and complete data entry for "Needs List" reports to support production and inventory planning.
• Make inventory and location corrections in the ERP system as needed to maintain accurate records.
• Print and apply applicable product inventory and identification labels for received and stored items.
• Unload trucks and inbound freight, verifying package quantities against bills of lading.
• Verify package quantities, contents, and part numbers against packing lists to ensure accuracy.
• Apply product identification labels on received items and ensure proper traceability.
• Identify, move, and store inspection and medical items in appropriate locations according to procedures.
• Locate, move, and pull inventory items to and from applicable storage locations as requested.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior forklift certification and demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely.
• Forklift and material handling equipment experience, including regular and stand-up forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and related tools.
• Prefer 2 years of work experience in manufacturing or a similar production environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Freedom, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
