Warehouse Manager

As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role overseeing materials management, driving process improvements, and ensuring efficient distribution and inventory control. Responsibilities: Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate materials and warehouse management activities to optimize efficiency and productivity. Manage inventory control, purchasing, production scheduling, and warehouse operations to ensure seamless material flow and accuracy. Develop and implement materials management policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Administer day‑to‑day documentation, maintenance of files, and processing of departmental paperwork. Stay current on evolving technologies, tools, and best practices in materials management and logistics. Collaborate cross‑functionally with other management to coordinate activities and improve performance across departments. Lead and cross‑train team members to maximize production flexibility and staff capabilities. Enforce and promote established safety procedures and regulatory compliance throughout the warehouse. Must-Have Skills: Minimum 6 years of experience in materials management or warehouse management in a manufacturing environment. Proven track record in developing and implementing process improvement initiatives. Strong expertise in developing, tracking, and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and administrative tasks. Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams of at least 25 direct or indirect reports. Excellent decision‑making and problem‑solving skills with the ability to operate independently. Ability to manage customer situations and deadlines effectively under pressure. Experience interpreting and enforcing safety regulations and practices within materials operations. Nice-to-Have Skills: Formal education: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or similar field (preferred). Lean manufacturing certification or belted in principles such as Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, Six Sigma, and 5 Why. Demonstrated success in change management initiatives and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Experience with ERP systems and warehouse management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics). Background in materials scheduling, supplier coordination, and distribution within a manufacturing environment. Competence in cross‑training teams and fostering staff development.
