About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years Minimum License: NC or Compact License Pending OK for Submittal Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Surgical focus on orthopedics and joints - MS/Tele experience - Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills - IV therapy and phlebotomy skills - Respiratory skills in nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management - Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in cancellation. Surgical focus is on orthopedics and joints. Most common diagnoses include total knee replacement, total hip replacement, spinal fusions, hip fractures, ortho trauma, and medical/surgical overflow. The unit averages a daily census of 34 with 48 rooms/beds. No call requirement but floating is required based on census. Must work every other weekend. Frequent special equipment includes wound vacs and drains. Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care and management, and understanding of total joint replacement and spinal surgery. Pre-start modules must be completed prior to starting. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility. References can be pending at submission.
