Founding Product Engineer

About the Role

Own product work end to end at an early-stage SaaS company, from identifying customer problems to designing, building, and shipping solutions. You will work directly with merchants and help shape both the product experience and the engineering foundation.

What You'll Do

• Take features from problem definition through production across frontend and backend.

• Speak with customers, review session replays, and use firsthand feedback to understand their needs.

• Make product and user-flow decisions, not just implementation choices.

• Build polished interfaces with a strong eye for usability and visual craft.

• Maintain a codebase that is clear and welcoming for future engineers.

What We're Looking For

• Four to eight years of product engineering experience, including ownership of features from problem definition to production without a detailed spec.

• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js, with ownership across both frontend and backend.

• A computer science degree and strong fundamentals; experience at companies with high engineering standards is valued.

• Evidence of thoughtful product and interface craft, alongside experience in a growth-stage startup environment.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.

• E-commerce or commerce-platform experience is helpful.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
