CNA, Certified Nurse Aide Department: Participant Care Employment Type: Full Time Location: Jackson, MI Reporting To: Treshia Swager Compensation: $18.57 - $20.70 / hour Description Schedule : Full Time | 40 hours per week | 8:00am -4:30pm | Weekend & Holiday Rotations, Required Department : Thome PACE - Jackson, MI | Day Center & In-home Care Travel Requirements : This role involves regular travel between Jackson, Lenawee and Hillsdale counties providing Home Based Care. What You’ll Do: As a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in our Day Center and providing in-home care, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our participants receive the highest quality care. From assisting with daily activities to providing comfort and companionship, your work will make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve in Jackson, Lenawee and Hillsdale counties. Key Responsibilities Provide Hands-On Care – Assist with personal care (ADLS) like bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Support Mealtime– Help participants enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for good health. Keep Things Moving – Support mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers. Perform Vital Checks – Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output. Maintain Comfort & Care – Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well-stocked with essentials. Provide Responsive Support – Respond with kindness and compassion. Monitor with Watchful Eyes – Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP. Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care. On-Call and Flexibility: On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in after-hour on-call rotations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. On-call pay premium offered. Rotation Schedule: Be available for evening and weekend shifts as part of the rotation. If selected for the position, you will receive a full job description. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise A current and valid Michigan CNA Certification, required. CPR Certified or willing to optain. Six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed CNA, preferred. Prior home care experience, preferred. The ability to read, write, understand, and follow directions. A heart for helping others and the physical ability to lift, stand, bend, transfer, stretch, walk, push, and pull as needed. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds frequently is required Must be 18 years of age or older.
