Automotive Parts Counterperson

Hansel Auto Group is looking for an experienced Dealership Parts Counter Professional to join our high performing, customer focused team. This role is ideal for a parts expert who knows dealership operations inside and out, takes pride in accuracy and efficiency, and thrives on delivering top tier service to technicians and customers alike.Employment Type: Full TimePay ScaleThe monthly Parts Counterperson compensation is expected to range from $40,000 to $75,000.00, depending on job performance/qualifications.Why you’ll love this roleReal earning potential: transparent pay plan tied to performanceTeam culture: supportive, high standards environment that celebrates winsWork in a parts department with organized inventory, established processes, and modern electronic parts catalog systemsResponsibilities and DutiesAssist retail, wholesale, and internal service customers with parts inquires and purchases.Process parts orders, returns, exchanges, warranties, and core returns in accordance with dealership proceduresPull and distribute parts for technicians and service personnel.Follow all dealership safety and operational proceduresHigh level of customer serviceLook up parts using electronic parts catalogMaintain a clean and neat showroomDiscuss parts and other products with enthusiasmInventory maintenanceUnderstand all aspects of parts departmentRotate between front and back counters as neededAssist with other dealership needs as needed.Qualifications and SkillsAt least 2 years of experience at a Dealership Parts CounterKnowledge in CDK data management systemMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Knowledge of cars and trucks especially helpfulAbility to understand customer needs and accurately locate the correct parts using an electronic parts catalogEnsure a high level of customer satisfactionWork well with deadlinesMaintain a high level of performanceFamiliarity with PartsAbility to multi-taskWork well with co-workersPass a criminal background screeningPass a drug testPhysical RequirementsAbility to move frequently throughout the dealership.Ability to use a computer keyboard and other parts equipment.Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and retrieve parts from shelving at various heightsAbility to work safety at heights and in varying weather and environmental conditionsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work indoor and warehouse environments, which may include varying temperatures and noise levelsThe physical requirements described above are representative of those necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $18.31 plus performance bonuses.
