Job Summary
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) traveler position is located on the Anschutz Medical Campus. This role involves providing specialized post-anesthesia recovery care in a pediatric-focused environment. The assignment offers a comprehensive clinical experience within a renowned healthcare setting, supporting the recovery of pediatric patients and ensuring optimal post-operative outcomes.

Job Details

• Location: Aurora, Colorado
• Shift Schedule: 10-Hour Day Shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with start times rotating between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Four shifts per week, each lasting 10 hours.
• Schedule Note: Schedule may change with up to 24-hour notice.
• Weekends: 8-hour call shifts on Saturday and Sunday, with times including 7:00 AM3:00 PM, 9:00 AM5:00 PM, 3:00 PM11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM7:00 AM.
• On-Call: Weeknights Monday through Friday and weekends as specified.
• Holidays: Additional shifts, with 23 eight-hour shifts expected per holiday.
• Travel and Float Requirements: Travel required within a 35-mile radius of the original facility. Floating or reassignment may be necessary within clinical competency areas.
• Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of PACU experience, with pediatric PACU experience clearly documented in work history.
  • Pediatric experience, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and pre/post-anesthesia care experience required.
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support).
  • Previous travel experience preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • No approval for time off within the first two weeks of assignment.
  • Medical and religious exemptions for the seasonal influenza vaccination are permitted.
  • Candidate must be available starting 07/21/2026.
