The Vermont Army National Guard (VTARNG) is seeking experienced, mission-focused Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide non-clinical case management services that support Soldier readiness, wellness, and deployability. Position Details

• Position Title: Registered Nurse III (RN III) - Non-Clinical Case Manager
• Openings: 3
• Location: Vermont Army National Guard State Medical Detachment, Green Mountain Armory, Camp Johnson, Colchester, Vermont
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
• Telework: Not authorized
• Weekend Support: Occasional support for Soldier Readiness events may be required
• Period of Performance Start Date: July 12, 2026

What You'll Do

As a Registered Nurse Case Manager, you will provide non-clinical case management and care coordination support for Service Members with complex medical and readiness-related needs. In this role, you will:

• Coordinate non-clinical case management services for Service Members
• Support medical readiness, wellness, and deployability initiatives
• Facilitate care coordination between military, civilian, and community providers
• Assist Service Members with navigating healthcare systems, referrals, and support services
• Support appropriate utilization of healthcare resources and services
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and case records
• Participate in quality control, compliance, and continuity-of-operations activities
• Support operations during emergency response or alternate work conditions, as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the State of Vermont
• Case management experience required
• Experience in care coordination, utilization management, or healthcare navigation
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting military healthcare, military readiness, or Service Members
• Military experience preferred
• Experience working with complex cases involving multi-provider coordination
• Familiarity with compliance-driven healthcare environments

Security and Compliance Requirements

Selected candidates must be able to:

• Obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
• Successfully complete background screening requirements
• Complete required DoD and Army training, including:
  • Information Assurance (IA)
  • AT Level I Antiterrorism Training
  • OPSEC Training
  • iWATCH Awareness Training

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and aligned with applicable Service Contract Labor Standards.
