Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including thorough physical exams and assessments of medical histories
• Help evaluate and diagnose surgical conditions through the analysis of imaging results and lab work
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and execute tailored surgical treatment plans
• Offer intraoperative assistance, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and efficiently passing surgical instruments
• Provide outstanding pre- and post-operative care, covering medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preference for completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus

Certifications

• Current and valid PA-C certification
• Required BLS and ACLS certification
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills

• In-depth understanding of surgical principles and sterile practices
• Demonstrated ability to interpret diagnostic tests and engage in complex clinical discussions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities
• Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations, especially during surgical operations
