Unit Description

Overview: Emergency Department- must be able to assume care of adult and pediatric patients. 70 bed unit. Critical Care Equipment (Ventilator/Bipap). Auto offers with < 2 weeks RTO. Certs required: BLS, PALS, ACLS, 8 hours of stroke CEUs, 8 hours of trauma CEUs Ratio: 1:4-5 Charting System: Cerner Scrub Color: Navy Charting System: Cerner

Three (3) years of recent ED experience required.
BSN
Travel experience required (completed at least one contract assignment)
High volume/fast pace experience preferred*
Epic experience required
Certification/Licensure:
NJ License/Compact
AHA BLS
ACLS
PALS
NIHSS
*pending certs, or certs that expire within 30 days of submission are NOT accepted*
Weekend: Every other or 3 per month depending on needs
Holiday: None
RTO- no more than 3 days accepted.

First Day Instructions? /Orientation:
Failure to complete the full orientation will result in immediate termination- once scheduled, candidate does not have the option of rescheduling any classes.
Candidate will receive an email directly from Inspira the Friday before the Monday start. The email will contain the following information;
They will receive instructions for signing on to the Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream Module from Human Resources sometime prior to 8:30 on Monday. Monday GEO will be Virtual from their own computer. The modules assigned must be completed by Monday or they will be removed from the orientation list.
In person class schedule list- Typically Tues-Thurs- these classes are held in multiple locations. The location may not be listed in the original email, candidate is required to use Health Stream to determine class location day of. Please Note *The POCT class will required to attend and is not during orientation week.
