As a lead, you'll oversee the collection, handling, and processing of patient samples, while being a team leader and mentor. Pay Range: $45,000 - $55,000/year Schedule: Day Shift, FlexibleLead Phlebotomist Responsibilities:Oversee the phlebotomy team, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and evaluating performanceServe as a resource to phlebotomy and reception staffCoordinate workflow to ensure timely collection of specimensMonitor sick call pager and adjust placements accordinglyPerform venipuncture and capillary punctures to collect blood samplesAssist with difficult draws and serve as a technical expert for all collection proceduresEnsure proper collection of research kits and other special proceduresLead Phlebotomist Qualifications:Registration by the College of American Pathologists as a PBT, or the equivalent, is desiredCurrent BCLS certification required within 30 days of hireAbility to lead and motivate a teamExcellent communication skills to collaborate with clinical staff and ensure patient continuity of care
