Business Area: Retail As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in our management team, ensuring the smooth operation of our retail store in the Store Manager's absence. Key Responsibilities: Lead by example to foster a customer-centric culture. Drive sales performance and maintain high service standards. Manage daily store operations, including compliance with health and safety and retail standards. Schedule and manage labour effectively. Provide on-the-spot coaching to enhance team performance and customer experience. Celebrate team successes and create an inclusive atmosphere. What We’re Looking For At least one year of managerial experience in a retail sales environment. Proven track record of coaching, developing, and managing colleagues. Strong understanding of compliance, health and safety, and operational standards. Ability to meet sales targets and deliver excellent customer service metrics. Commercial awareness and an understanding of current retail and industry trends. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a willingness to learn our internal systems. A strong passion for cycling and a good working knowledge of bicycles, cycling products, accessories, and bike maintenance is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be confident advising customers, supporting colleagues, and helping drive sales within our cycling category. Previous experience in a bike retail, workshop, or cycling environment would be a distinct advantage.
