Job Description Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas including: shipping customer orders, satisfying internal shipping requirements, ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel and receiving in finished goods, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged and overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities. Responsibilities Follow all safety, environmental rules and regulations applicable to the position. Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements. Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies. Delegating and assigning tasks and targets and evaluating the working of staff. Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior. Evaluateperformance and administer appropriate guidance to employees. Utilize and demonstrate (for training) use of electronic inventory scanning equipment. Monitor loading and receiving operations. Receive packaged products and inbound supplies. Cross-train with Operations and provide backup as a Production Supervisor when needed. Conducts weekly tool box training. Monitor inventory regularly. Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation. Complete all associated paperwork/reports correctly to perform this position. Operate forklift and provide forklift operation training to employees. Act as fill in for the job of Superintendent in the area in which they work in the case of an absence. Attend daily production/quality meetings. Qualifications Qualifications Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. BS in related degree/program preferred. Related Experience :Experience in warehouse management within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Equipment/Software Skills :Proficient use of internet, MS Office Word and Excel. Willingness and ability to become proficient in inventory management systems utilized by the company. Work also involves knowledge and accurate use of RF/scanning inventory systems. Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions. Oral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills. Managing People – Includes staff in planning, decision making, facilitating and process improvement; makes self-available to staff; provides regular performance feedback Additional Information Additional information Physical: This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights. Must be able to walk throughout the plant up to eight-plus (8+) hours at a time, to include walking and climbing up/down stairs and ladders (portable, fixed). Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.) Mental/Reasoning :Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization.
