Ophthalmic TechnicianSouth Georgia North Florida Eye Partners offers a variety of eye care services from detection and medical treatment of eye diseases and injuries to advanced procedures including Lasik and cataract surgeries. We also have an on-site Optical Shop that carries the latest in designer frames and sunglasses. We offer several locations including Tifton, Douglas and 2 locations in Valdosta Georgia.We are now hiring for an Ophthalmic technician that will support a high-volume ophthalmic practice that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to each patient needing complete eye care services.ResponsibilitiesClinicalReviews patient chart to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.Perform testing ordered by doctor and determined by the type of exam scheduled, patient complaint and/or patient history.Ability to act as a medical scribe while physician examines patient, entering data into electronic medical recordsTakes an ocular and systemic history and accurately records visual acuity.Administers topical ophthalmic or oral medications under the direction of the physician.Ability to assist with simple in-office procedures ensures proper informed consent is obtained.Assists with patient education.Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of exam rooms during the workday.Complies with all practice procedures and protocols.
