Concessions Coordinator

In this role, you'll oversee the daily operations of concession services, lead and develop a team of concession staff, and help create memorable experiences for guests attending programs, camps, parties, and special events. Applicants must be 18 years of age to work in this role.What You'll DoLead & Develop Your TeamCoordinate, supervise, and support concession staff in daily operations.Schedule, train, coach, and provide leadership to team members.Assist with employee performance evaluations and ongoing staff development.Manage Daily OperationsOversee day-to-day concession activities and ensure smooth service delivery.Coordinate camp lunch programs, birthday parties, and other program-related concession services.Ensure excellent customer service is provided to all patrons and guests.Maintain Inventory & Business OperationsOrder, stock, and manage concession inventory to ensure products are readily available.Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory records.Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and annual operational reports.Ensure Safety & CleanlinessMaintain a clean, organized, and welcoming concession environment.Ensure all food and beverage preparation, handling, and service comply with health department regulations and sanitation standards.Oversee cleaning and maintenance of concession equipment and work areas.Ensure proper disposal of trash and recyclables and promote a safe work environment.The City of Wentzville is committed to being an employer of choice, offering prosperous and meaningful career opportunities, excellent benefits, and flexibility.This is a part-time position not to exceed an average of 29 hours per week.This job posting will remain open until a sufficient number of qualified applicants are received.Job Qualifications – Education, experience, and training that are required or desirable in order to effectively perform the job at the time of hire. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements and/or substitutions may be requested and require the approval of HR.High school diploma required. Additional job experience may be considered in lieu of education.Five years of relevant experience required. Prior supervisory experience desired. Additional job-related degrees or certifications may be considered in lieu of experience.Basic Sanitation course by St. Charles County Health required.Must be a minimum of 18 years old.Valid driverʼs license required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills, and abilities commonly associated with this position.Ability to operate a computer using a Point of Sales System for all concession sales.Ability to use basic math skills (i.e., add, subtract, multiply, divide).Ability to complete monetary transactions with little or no errors.Ability to prepare and maintain inventory reports.Ability to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.Ability to manage and monitor division operations and services and implement procedural changes as needed to improve workflow and productivity.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, subordinates, co-workers, and customers by telephone, in writing, and in person.Ability to effectively organize and prioritize routine and non-routine tasks to meet deadlines.Ability to concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously and to follow through on processes from end-to end.Ability to anticipate and complete tasks based on defined processes and timelines.Ability to work independently under moderate or little supervision and make responsible decisions.Ability to develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work for self and others.Ability to use good judgment and think rationally in difficult or stressful situations.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Proficiency in the use of basic business software (word processing, spreadsheets, email, presentations) and basic office equipment.Regular attendance is a necessary and essential job duty.
