SR Accountant

enior Accountant (Manufacturing Industry) Location:** Chicago Suburbs, Illinois (On-site) Employment Type:** Full-time, Exempt Salary:** $75,000 - $95,000 (DOE) About the Opportunity A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced **Senior Accountant** to join its management team. This is a hands-on role responsible for accounting, financial reporting, payroll, purchasing support, inventory control, and office administration. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a small to mid-sized business environment and is comfortable managing a wide range of accounting and administrative responsibilities. Responsibilities Accounting & Finance

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Prepare journal entries and perform month-end closing
• Process invoices and monitor customer payments
• Maintain cash flow reports and financial records
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and management reports
• Assist with annual audits and tax-related documentation
• Maintain accurate accounting records using QuickBooks

### Purchasing & Sales Support

• Prepare customer quotations and sales orders
• Process purchase orders and obtain internal approvals
• Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, deliveries, and payment terms
• Support purchasing activities and vendor communications

### Inventory & Cost Accounting

• Maintain inventory records and Bills of Materials (BOM)
• Update inventory information in QuickBooks
• Investigate inventory discrepancies
• Support cost accounting and inventory reporting

### Human Resources & Administration

• Process payroll and assist with employee benefits administration
• Support recruiting and onboarding activities
• Coordinate with external IT vendors and office service providers
• Maintain office operations and administrative functions
• Prepare reports for corporate management as needed

## Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, AP, AR, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Experience with QuickBooks is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently

## Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing industry experience
• Cost accounting and inventory accounting experience
• Payroll processing experience
• Purchasing or supply chain support experience
• ERP system experience
• Experience working in a small or mid-sized company
• Japanese language skills are a plus, but not required
