About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Team. The CFO will be a key leader, providing strategic oversight of the organization's finance function, which includes accounting, financial reporting, audit, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and procurement. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial strength and long-term sustainability of the organization's educational programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for executive leadership, financial stewardship, strategic finance, organizational partnership, board engagement, and people leadership. They will work closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees, and various committees, and will be expected to have a strong background in financial management, with a preference for those who have experience in mission-driven environments. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have at least 15 years' of progressive finance leadership experience, with a proven track record in all aspects of financial management. The role requires a leader with outstanding people skills, the ability to develop high-performing teams, and experience in presenting to sophisticated boards. While experience in nonprofit, education, healthcare, or similar environments is valued, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a CPA designation strongly preferred, and an MBA or other relevant graduate degree being advantageous. The CFO will be expected to be a trusted advisor, a respected partner, and a leader who is passionate about the intersection of financial excellence and mission impact.
