About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to spearhead its global finance function. The CFO will be a strategic, mission-driven leader with a strong background in nonprofit finance, particularly in managing complex financial structures across multiple entities. Responsibilities include overseeing financial planning, accounting, grants administration, audits, payroll, and compliance. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with extensive experience, including leading finance in a nonprofit organization and a proven track record in managing operational costs. The role demands a deep understanding of nonprofit financial operations, including GAAP and 501(c)(3) regulations, and experience with program-restricted funding streams. The CFO will also be responsible for financial management and reporting, process optimization, and cost management, and must be a highly effective communicator with the ability to influence and build strong relationships. The ideal CFO for the company will have a global mindset, be passionate about international issues and public health, and demonstrate a strong commitment to the organization's vision and mission. They should be adept at leading change management and have a proven capacity to manage under pressure, problem-solve, and make strategic, risk-based decisions. A values-driven leader, the CFO will work closely with the Interim CEO, Board of Directors, and senior staff to ensure the organization's financial health and integrity, and to support its goal of eliminating neglected tropical diseases. Desirable qualifications include an advanced degree in finance, accounting, or management, and experience in the health, humanitarian, or international development sectors. The role requires a candidate who is motivated by a fast-paced, results-oriented culture and is dedicated to fostering a positive internal and external partnership.
