HR Specialist - Training

Training SpecialistThe Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the design, development, and delivery of learning and development programs that build employee capability and enhance performance across the organization. This role partners with the Director of Talent and Development and HR team to execute training initiatives aligned with the company's talent strategy, competency framework, and business priorities. The Training Specialist plays a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences, maintaining training systems and content, and ensuring employees have access to the tools and resources needed to grow and succeed in their roles.Essential Job Responsibilities:Support the development and delivery of training and development programs aligned with organizational competencies, culture, business needs, and talent priorities established by the Talent and Development functionFacilitate instructor-led and virtual training sessions for employees across various levels of the organization, ensuring engaging and effective learning experiencesPartner with HR and business leaders to identify training needs and assist in conducting learning needs assessmentsDevelop and maintain training materials, including presentations, job aids, e-learning modules, and facilitator guidesCoordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, communications, materials preparation, and vendor coordinationAdminister and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including course assignments, tracking completion, and reportingTrack and analyze training effectiveness through participant feedback, assessments, and performance metrics; provide insights for continuous improvementSupport the rollout of enterprise learning initiatives such as leadership development programs, onboarding, and compliance trainingCollaborate with subject matter experts to translate technical or operational content into effective training solutionsEnsure training content remains current, relevant, and aligned with organizational changes and prioritiesAssist in reinforcing a culture of continuous learning and development across the organizationAssist with Talent Management activities including succession planning, talent assessments, and talent planning.Other Job Responsibilities:Demonstrate commitment to company core values — Integrity, Ownership, Urgency, Alignment, and Innovation — in all daily responsibilities and interactions.Actively support and contribute to the company's mission and vision through reliable, high-quality workQualifications:Minimum of 6 years of experience in training, learning and development, or a related HR functionExperience in the Energy/Oil & Gas industry strongly preferred.Experience facilitating training sessions and/or developing instructional content for office and field level employeesFamiliarity with adult learning principles and instructional design methodologiesExperience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training toolsStrong organizational and project coordination skills with attention to detailAbility to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organizationCollaborative mindset with the ability to partner across functionsWillingness to travel to field locations as needed (estimated 10–25%)Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Organizational Development, or related field. Harvest Midstream
