Job Summary:

Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, a long-term care facility, is seeking a skilled Cook to join our dedicated team. As a vital member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our residents. With a focus on attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare meals according to menus and recipes for the day
• Ensure all food is complete, on time, and ready to be served
• Clean and sanitize all food areas used for meal prep
• Take temperatures of all foods served and record
• Ensure proper sanitation of the kitchen and equipment during shift
• Interact with families and residents regarding meals
• Attend all mandatory in-services and other education as needed
• Ensure proper use and care of all dish and glassware, utensils, and equipment used in the facility
• Participate in culture change, improvements in work environment, and quality of life of residents
• Work as a team member to achieve excellence in care and attainment of mission of facility
• Follow dress code for position
• Follow all dietary and facility-wide policies and procedures
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned

• Competitive hourly rate: $16.50/HR

Requirements:

• Previous cooking experience required
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow recipes and preparing meals according to menus
• Valid food handler's certification a plus
