Quality Inspector – CMM | First Article & Final Inspection

Derby / Ansonia Area | $20/Hour | 1st Shift | Contract-to-Hire

Experienced Quality Inspector with CMM experience? Put your inspection skills to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment where precision, documentation, and attention to detail matter.

We are seeking a well-rounded Quality Inspector with experience performing first article, in-process, and final inspections . The right candidate will be comfortable using CMM equipment, precision measuring tools, and testing equipment and will have a strong understanding of dimensional and functional inspection.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity on 1st shift paying $20/hour  in the Derby/Ansonia area .

Quality Inspector Responsibilities

• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process inspection, and final inspection
• Operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment
• Use precision measuring tools, gauges, and testing equipment
• Perform dimensional and functional testing to verify product specifications
• Review drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements
• Complete inspection reports, records, and other quality documentation
• Identify, document, and report product nonconformances
• Assist with investigations and resolution of quality issues
• Perform product sorting and rework when required
• Follow established Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and cGMP requirements
• Assist with quality audits and related preparation
• Help train Inspector/Packers on quality procedures and inspection requirements
• Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain product quality and identify potential issues

Quality Inspector Qualifications

Previous manufacturing Quality Inspector experience required

CMM experience required

• Hands-on experience with first article, in-process, and final inspection
• Strong dimensional inspection and functional testing experience
• Proficiency using precision measuring tools and testing equipment
• Ability to accurately interpret specifications, drawings, and inspection requirements
• Experience documenting and reporting nonconforming materials/products
• Familiarity with QMS and cGMP
• Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing/quality team
