Position Summary The BHECN Programs and Outreach Coordinator provides integrated program coordination, event planning, and community engagement support for a portfolio of statewide behavioral health workforce initiatives. The role operates with moderate independence, coordinating program activities, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and managing logistics for events and outreach efforts. Responsibilities include ensuring effective implementation of programs and initiatives designed to strengthen Nebraska’s behavioral health workforce pipeline, supporting BHECN-sponsored events and outreach activities, and maintaining professional communication with diverse stakeholders. Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent in social science, behavioral science, public health, public administration, education, nonprofit management, or related field. Experience: 4 years of project coordination, community outreach, event planning, and/or workforce development. Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Zoom. Preferred College degree (Bachelor’s) in social/behavioral sciences, public health, public administration, education, or related field. Experience in project coordination, community outreach, event planning, and/or workforce development beyond the minimum requirement. Familiarity with Qualtrics.
