Are you a skilled and dedicated Intervention Specialist seeking an exciting career opportunity? Birch Agency is hiring passionate professionals like you to make a positive impact on the lives of students . This is a onsite fulltime contract position for an Intervention Specialist starting pay at 45 dollars an hour and up (based on experience) in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The school is a K-8 public charter school east of Cleveland.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with IEPs and 504 Plans

• Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment

• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities

• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly

Skills

• Proven experience as a Intervention Specialist/Special Education Teacher

• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and educational methodology

• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

• Excellent communication and instructional skills

• Ability to act as mediator between children

• Cool-tempered, friendly, reliable, and adaptable

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)

• Valid state (OH) teaching certification/license in Special Education

• Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred

• Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
