Area Teller

Area Teller - Multiple Locations University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) is looking for Area Tellers to support member transactions at multiple branches. Job Summary Process member transactions, resolve routine issues, support accounts, and ensure compliance through proper drawer management and report filing. Essential Functions Respond to and resolve basic member needs Serve as lobby lead Process transactions, including shared branching Navigate banking systems Assist with account support (online/mobile banking) Manage and balance drawer Complete opening and closing procedures File required compliance reports (CTR, SAR, etc.) Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes Complete required regulatory training as assigned Maintain strict compliance with laws including BSA, AML, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and Fair Lending regulations Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Basic understanding of financial products, services, and center operations Basic knowledge of technology systems Accurate cash handling and counting skills Strong understanding of security and quality control policies Exceptional member experience delivery Ability to understand and adhere to compliance requirements Core Competencies Member obsession Performance excellence Innovation Experience & Requirements Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Bilingual English/Spanish At least six months of cash handling, customer service, and team environment experience Reliable transportation Preferred Requirements: Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Financial institution experience Physical Demands Standing, walking, bending and use of hands to reach and operate a computer for extended periods. May involve occasional adjustment of schedule and travel between branches. Work Environment Public contact position with periodic stressors and possible exposure to robbery.
