Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Description

MAU is hiring a Continuous Improvement Manager for our client in Gainesville, FL. As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will lead the implementation and sustainment of Lean Six Sigma initiatives at a single chemical process facility, driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, cost, and productivity. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Required Education and Experience

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
\n
• Lean Six Sigma Certification: Minimum Black Belt
\n
• 5+ years of experience in a chemical process or manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of leading Continuous Improvement initiatives
\n

Preferred Education and Experience

• Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification
\n
• Recognized as a high-potential employee with leadership aspirations
\n
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., chemical, pharmaceutical, or food industries)
\n
• Advanced problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
\n

• Deep knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other Continuous Improvement methodologies
\n
• Strong analytical and numerical skills; proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools
\n
• Exceptional influencing, coaching, and facilitation skills
\n
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
\n
• Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution abilities
\n
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment

• Experience driving organizational change and fostering a Continuous Improvement culture
\n

Essential Functions

\n
• Lead the implementation and sustainment of Lean Six Sigma initiatives at the site, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices
\n
• Partner with corporate resources to deliver foundational Lean Six Sigma training (e.g., Yellow Belt, Green Belt) to site personnel
\n
• Identify, prioritize, and manage a portfolio of Continuous Improvement projects, ensuring timely delivery, effective resource allocation, and measurable impact on safety, environmental performance, quality, cost, and productivity
\n
• Run critical Continuous Improvement projects for the site directly
\n
• Participate in project teams and coach teams and individuals in Lean Six Sigma tools, problem-solving, and change management
\n
• Develop Continuous Improvement talent within the site by working with managers
\n
• Engage and influence stakeholders at the site to drive buy-in, overcome resistance, and embed a culture of continuous improvement
\n
• Track and report on Continuous Improvement metrics, project outcomes, and overall site performance improvements
\n
