In this role, you will handle hands‑on installations and lead small teams on multi‑week projects. Life, AD&D and LTD insurance Paid Vacation and Holidays Company‑Matched 401(k) and IRA Retirement Savings Key Responsibilities Install and Maintain: Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems (Cat5/Cat6, fiber, coax) Cabinet & Conduit Work: Perform conduit installation, cable dressing, and termination inside IDF/MDF cabinets Device Setup: Install and configure CCTV and network devices Project Leadership: Lead small teams on multi‑week projects to ensure timely, safe, and budget‑conscious delivery Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints and site maps Aerial Work: Operate BOOM and/or scissor lifts to work at heights up to 40+ feet Testing & Compliance: Conduct system testing and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards Communication: Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with clients and team members Qualifications Experience: 2‑5 years of hands‑on experience in low‑voltage systems, structured cabling, networking, and CCTV Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fiber optic termination, network infrastructure, and Point‑of‑Sale (POS) deployment/troubleshooting Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years) Transportation: Reliable personal transportation Tools: Must possess basic telecom tools and standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Leadership: Comfortable working independently and leading small teams Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively (4‑6 weeks at a time) and work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends Highly Desirable Skills (Preferred But Not Required) Industry certifications: BICSI, OSHA, MSHA, AVIXA CTS, Panduit, Belden, or Corning Hands‑on experience with fusion splicing Experience running DSX cable certification testing About Wachter is a family‑owned company since 1930 and we see each employee as a critical piece of the Wachter Family.
