Manufacturing Team Leader

Job TitleAssists with staff supervision, training, and administrative duties. Manufactures blood and blood products in compliance with regulatory/accrediting agencies.Position ScheduleThis is a full-time position and candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule with an 8 hour shift scheduled between the hours of 8:00pm - 8:00am.ResponsibilitiesThe list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the duties and responsibilities performed within this classification. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.Assists with supervising, coaching & training of assigned staffPerforms mentor duties associated with onboarding new employees, annual competency sign off and responsibilities of assigned staffEnsures adequate inventory of required suppliesManufactures, stores and distributes blood and blood productsPerforms data entry associated with component production, labeling, storage and shipping ensuring accurate and complete manufacturing recordsOperates, maintains and perform quality control checks on equipmentPerforms the quarantine and disposition of unacceptable products and/or samplesPrepares and submits quality control samples for testingResponds to internal customer service requests regarding inventory, ABO Discrepancies, TTIMS, BacT Positive, Reference Lab requestsPerforms administrative duties as assignedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or equivalent and six months prior laboratory, blood bank manufacturing or logistics experience. Tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work, usually involving standing, lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 pounds). Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment.
