Step into an impactful role supporting K-12 students as a districtwide Special Education Teacher. This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with learners of varying abilities while focusing on assessments using WJV and WJIV, particularly the Spanish portions. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring students have the resources and evaluations necessary for a successful educational experience. The assignment runs ASAP through the end of the school year.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid credential in Special Education
• Experience working with K-12 student populations
• Proficiency with Woodcock-Johnson V and IV test batteries, with an emphasis on the Spanish assessment components
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and reporting
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is essential
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students, families, and educational teams

Responsibilities & Primary Duties:

• Conduct thorough student assessments using WJV and WJIV, ensuring accuracy in Spanish language evaluations
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to interpret results and inform instructional planning
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Document assessment outcomes, progress, and recommendations accurately and in a timely manner
• Serve as a resource for school personnel and families regarding special education best practices and student supports
• Support students’ academic and social-emotional growth through individualized approaches
