Job Description
Title: Physical Therapist Assistant - Physical Therapy

Schedule: Days M-F 8-5

Assignment Details:
Contract Weeks: 26
Guaranteed Hours: 32

Requirements:
- Graduated from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited physical therapy assistant education program.
- Must be licensed in good standing as a Physical Therapist Assistant or have all appropriate paperwork completed to work as a Student Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Current BLS certification.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in administering physical therapy modalities as directed by the Physical Therapist, following patient evaluation.
- Help restore patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
- Support patients in reaching their maximum performance and functional levels.
- Participate in operational aspects of the department and performance improvement activities.
- Engage in infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational training, and fire safety programs.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation starts on a Tuesday with no guaranteed hours for the first week.
- Proof of completed COVID vaccinations is required.
