Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance position performs repair and preventative maintenance tasks on operational equipment, building, and grounds. A. M. Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6am - 4pm Compensation: $21 during the 90-day probationary period, $33.40/hr after probationary period. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: Essential Primary Responsibilities: Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc. Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose issue. Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts. Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary. Cleans and lubricates parts. Coordinates and/or assists in outside repair services. Inspects complete repairs. Maintains records of repair and maintenance. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions. Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports. Notifying management when parts orders are needed for repairs Clean, oil, and test equipment on a regular schedule to stop failures. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Utilize and operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assignments/maintenance. Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, safe, and usable manner. Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Stooping, standing, and manual dexterity Light lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less) Heavy lifting (frequent 25 lbs+) Assigned safety equipment must be worn at all times (hard hat, safety shoes with metatarsal, safety glasses with side shields, gloves, arm guards) Frequent exposure to mechanical moving parts MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Required Experience: Type, Skills, and Years: Two years of warehouse experience Knowledge of all warehouse equipment and commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a warehouse environment Basic measurement competency Basic math competency Strong work ethic Required Specialized Certifications: Capable of being certified in assigned equipment (forklift, Raymond side-loader, overhead crane, etc.) Required Education: High school graduate or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: One-year of maintenance experience PC literacy Certified in assigned equipment (forklift, Raymond side-loader, overhead crane, etc.) We are an Equal Opportunity Employer Please view Equal Employment Opportunity Posters provided by OFCCP Company Overview: Founded in 1890, A.
