The Transport Driver is responsible for loading, transporting and delivering refined fuels using a tanker truck (11,400-gallon capacity). This position requires a Class A CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements. Duties/Responsibilities: Comply with all city, state, and federal regulations Loads, secures, transports, delivers and unloads product Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment used for the transportation of hazardous materials Plans and accomplishes operational assignments that are varied and moderately complex to complex Gauges tank volumes and tests product quality and specifications of bulk petroleum products while transporting from a variety of locations using a class eight tractor and a tanker trailer Maintains the operational efficiency of vehicles by monitoring truck maintenance needs, conducting minor repairs and conducting daily DOT truck inspections to ensure maximum vehicle safety Maintains and completes accurate records by documenting truck inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven Ensures that delivery vehicle receives service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor Performs other related duties as assigned The absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position.
