Job Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized tools and observational methods.
- Craft tailored treatment strategies that cater to individual short-term objectives as well as long-term language, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver personalized therapy sessions emphasizing communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers, to ensure comprehensive care plans.
- Provide education and resources to patients and families to support progress outside the clinical environment.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations, ensuring a smooth continuum of care during every phase of treatment.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation to comply with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Commit to lifelong learning and stay abreast of industry advancements through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still in process of receiving ASHA certification.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of joining.
