Senior Software Engineer - Risk Technology

We are partnering with a leading global hedge fund with a strong focus on credit, fixed income, and quantitative risk management. As part of a major expansion within the business, the firm is continuing to invest heavily in its front-office technology and risk infrastructure capabilities.

They are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer into a highly visible Risk Technology team working directly alongside portfolio managers, quantitative teams, and risk stakeholders. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering, quantitative analytics, and financial markets, with a focus on building scalable analytics and risk platforms supporting complex credit and fixed income portfolios.

What You Will Be Doing

• Building and scaling risk and analytics systems supporting credit and fixed income portfolios
• Developing real-time and historical risk infrastructure used by portfolio managers and risk teams
• Supporting pricing, exposure analysis, stress testing, and portfolio analytics workflows
• Working across products including corporate credit, structured credit, mortgages, convertibles, and derivatives
• Partnering closely with risk managers, quantitative teams, and front-office stakeholders
• Contributing to the modernization of data-intensive analytics platforms and distributed systems

What They Are Looking For

• 4+ years of software engineering or risk technology experience within financial markets
• Strong understanding of credit products, fixed income instruments, or structured products
• Experience supporting risk analytics, pricing, or portfolio management workflows
• Familiarity with portfolio risk concepts such as stress testing, scenario analysis, VaR, or sensitivities
• Strong software design and architecture experience within data-intensive environments
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with business stakeholders

Nice To Have

• Experience with structured credit, mortgages, or credit derivatives
• Exposure to cloud-native or event-driven architectures
• Experience within hedge funds, asset management, or investment banking environments
