Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (state licensure required)
- Progressive Care/Step-Down or ICU experience required
- Minimum one prior travel assignment preferred/required
- Current ACLS, NIHSS, and BLS certifications
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system preferred
- Able to work night shifts and meet weekend scheduling expectations (every other weekend)
- Competent in care for patients requiring vents, arterial lines, central lines, and post-procedure care (e.g., thoracentesis)

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for progressive care patients, monitoring hemodynamics and responding to changes in condition
- Manage patients with advanced lines and devices (ventilators, A-lines, central lines) and perform unit-level procedures and dressing changes
- Document patient care and assessments in Cerner and maintain accurate, timely charting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float to the Emergency Department as needed and adapt to variable patient acuity and staffing ratios (typical PCU ratios and occasional med-surg census)
- Work assigned night shifts and support weekend coverage per unit expectations

Job Description
This is a 13-week travel RN assignment on a Progressive Care Unit in Franklin, NC, beginning 04/15/2026. The role is night shift (18:45–07:15), 36 hours per week, providing advanced nursing care for step-down and higher-acuity patients in a 30-bed acute care setting. The position requires prior ICU or step-down experience, current ACLS, NIHSS, and BLS certifications, and familiarity with Cerner documentation. Clinicians will manage ventilators, arterial and central lines, perform post-procedural care, and support the ED as needed. Estimated taxable pay is $24.08/hr with an additional weekly stipend, producing a competitive total weekly package for the contract.
