Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring, ensuring continuous assessment and timely intervention. Works efficiently within a team to maintain patient safety and adherence to protocols during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient's vital signs and cardiac rhythms continuously to detect any abnormalities.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and responses accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and escalate issues as needed.
• Educate patients and families about their condition and post-discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Possess valid and current RN license.
• Have relevant experience in telemetry or cardiac care units.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Be proficient in using telemetry monitoring equipment and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Hold BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Capable of working flexible hours, including 7p-7:30a shifts and every other weekend/holiday schedule.
