Senior Security Consultant

Lead and design cutting‑edge Electronic Security Systems (ESS) including Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, vehicle barrier controls, and 2‑way intercoms. Collaborate with architectural and engineering teams to develop construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates from conceptual design through construction documents, construction administration, and project closeout. Bring creative, project‑specific solutions to life while managing multi‑discipline projects and engaging with stakeholders across regions. From proposal development to execution, play a key role in delivering high‑quality, innovative security solutions for clients and communities locally and globally.

Work in a hybrid environment, joining the office three days a week to collaborate, connect, and excel in a vibrant, flexible setting.

Responsibilities

• Needs Assessment: Uncover emerging issues or needs, identifying potential causes, barriers, and key stakeholders.
• Solutions Analysis: Identify and evaluate complex, expertise‑led solutions against business criteria to find the best fit.
• Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing business practices and suggest and implement improvements, developing and delivering projects within the change management program.
• Knowledge Management System: Manage the system with guidance from senior colleagues, including development or operation.
• Feasibility Studies: Conduct complex feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings with cost‑benefit analysis.
• Contract Management: Manage a portfolio of contracts, negotiate service‑level agreements, plan, coordinate, and supervise major contract activities.
• Project Management: Manage a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues.
• Client & Customer Management (External): Manage important client relationships, overseeing relationship management for transactional clients and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; proven equivalent education, skills, knowledge, abilities, and experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to work independently in Autodesk Revit; 5+ years of experience a plus.
• ASIS PSP required; ASIS CPP a plus.
• Completed Software House C-Cure 9000 Applications Engineer/Consultant training.
• 10+ years of recent security consulting experience.
• Experience with ATFP and CPTED.
• Expert knowledge of industry‑leading access control, camera, NVR, video analytics, network, PLC, and intercom systems.
• Strong project management skills, managing discipline‑specific and multi‑disciplinary projects on time and within budget.
• Working knowledge of state and national building and energy codes and standards a plus.
• Highly developed communication skills, both oral and written, including client‑facing engagement, teamwork, and mentoring.
• Federal Government DoD and civilian agencies project and client experience a plus.
• Understanding of project management software tools; BST experience a plus.
• Limited travel outside of the Washington D.C. area is anticipated, but may be deemed necessary by project.

Salary Range

$128,700 - $214,500 based on experience and location.
