Job Description:

Job Summary: The Parking Attendant is responsible for supervising all garage and surface lot activities related to parking in the hospital environment.
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:

1. Calculates parking rates accurately in accordance with established guidelines.
2. Ensures amounts of payments received and cash disbursed are accurate and properly accounted for.
3. Records and assigns validation accounts to departments accurately and in a timely manner.
4. Exercises courtesy and tact when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
5. Conducts regular site inspections to identify conditions requiring attention, including housekeeping and safety hazards.
6. Responds immediately to spills to maintain a safe environment.
7. Clears stairwells and other areas where debris accumulates to ensure cleanliness and safety.
8. Drives a service truck or utility vehicle throughout the campus to support parking operations.
9. Disperses and collects barricades and traffic cones to manage parking flow and ensure safety.
10. Performs routine maintenance on parking equipment and gates to ensure proper functionality.
