Clinical Psychologist – Veteran Disability Assessments

Our organization is in search of a committed Clinical Psychologist to join our team, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits process managed by the VA. In this role, you will assess behavioral health records through a secure online portal and carry out thorough in-person evaluations for each Veteran.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
• Examine and interpret electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
• Carefully document findings from assessments and complete necessary VA forms.

Note: This position does not involve providing treatment or prescribing medications. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the psychologist.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Part-Time, 2 days a week, specifically Thursday and Friday (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
• Location: In-person role.
• Caseload: Approximately 4 Veterans per day.
• Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.

Requirements:

• Possession of a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted psychology license.
• Comfortable utilizing technology for record review and documentation.
