IT Help Desk Specialist

IT Help Desk SpecialistWe are seeking a dependable, customer-focused IT Help Desk Specialist to provide technical support to employees and help keep day-to-day technology operations running smoothly. This position will troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and user-access issues while providing responsive and professional support to end users.The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of IT help desk or technical support experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.Responsibilities:Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to employeesTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, printer, and peripheral issuesSet up and configure computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and other equipmentAssist with user accounts, password resets, access permissions, and basic security-related issuesInstall, configure, update, and troubleshoot standard business applicationsSupport Microsoft Windows and other applicationsAssist with onboarding and offboarding employees, including equipment setup and system accessDocument support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutionsEscalate more complex technical issues to appropriate IT team membersMaintain accurate records of IT equipment and assist with inventory managementFollow established IT security policies, procedures, and best practicesProvide friendly, timely, and professional service to employeesQualifications:High School Diploma; Associate degree and/or technical certification preferred2–3 years of experience in an IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, Technical Support, or similar roleWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systemsExperience troubleshooting computers, laptops, printers, software, and basic network/connectivity issuesFamiliarity with user account administration and password/access managementExperience working with a help desk or ticketing system preferredBasic understanding of networking concepts, including Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, and connectivity troubleshootingStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to prioritize multiple requests and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentMicrosoft certifications are a plusBenefits:Comprehensive Health Insurance Package401k matchingPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysPaid Volunteer Hours
