The CARDIAC CATH LAB at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center plays a critical role within the Cardiac Service Line of Excellence supporting the Heart & Vascular Institute. It is located on the 2nd floor of the Heart Lung Tower, The Cardiac Cath Lab consists of 4 rooms plus a Hybrid room dedicated to a patient population providing diagnostic and interventional services as well as pacemakers, AICD's and Electrophysiology procedures TAVR. Mitral Clip and LAAO.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Cath Lab, you will be a vital member of a high-performing team, delivering critical and compassionate care to patients undergoing life-saving cardiovascular procedures. You'll leverage your expertise daily to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care, excelling in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment where every action directly impacts patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expert Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve optimal health outcomes for Cath Lab patients, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.
• Critical Assessment & Intervention: Proficiently assess patient conditions, recognize and adapt to changes (e.g., lab, vitals, test values), and perform timely, clinically appropriate interventions.
• Prioritization & Organization: Skillfully organize and prioritize complex patient care activities to ensure efficient and effective delivery while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborative Communication: Clear communicate with physicians and other providers, and ensure a seamless nurse-to-nurse handoff at the bedside.
• Patient Advocacy & Ethics: Serve as a dedicated advocate for patient needs, demonstrating holistic care practices and upholding high ethical standards in all aspects of practice.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active Nursing license in good standing valid to work in Arizona
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support card
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support card within 90 days of hire

Preferred

• Bachelors of Nursing (BSN)
• One year recent acute care experience
