Commercial Electrician

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Commercial Electrician in Clearwater, FL to install electrical systems for commercial construction projects and deliver quality installations that meet code requirements.

Impact

• Deliver safe and reliable electrical installations that support building operations and occupant needs

• Support project schedules by completing electrical scopes efficiently and to specifications

• Ensure code compliance and long-term system reliability through proper installation practices

• Contribute to team success by maintaining safety awareness and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems including conduit, wire, panels, and devices for commercial projects

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and panel schedules

• Bend conduit, pull wire, and terminate connections in accordance with NEC standards

• Install lighting fixtures, switches, receptacles, and power distribution equipment

• Coordinate with other trades on sequencing and resolving space conflicts

• Perform continuity testing and verify proper circuit operation

• Troubleshoot installation issues and implement field solutions

• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition

• Follow all safety protocols and participate in daily toolbox talks

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 3+ years of commercial electrical installation experience

• Strong knowledge of NEC codes and electrical installation practices

• Ability to read electrical drawings and work independently

• Proficiency in conduit bending, wire pulling, and device installation

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders and lifts

Nice-to-Haves

• Florida Journeyman or Master Electrician license

• OSHA 10 certification

• Experience with fire alarm, data/telecom, or low voltage systems

• Forklift or aerial lift certifications
