Packaging Engineer
Balance Staffing Company
We are seeking a Packaging Engineer to support a next-generation autonomous mobility manufacturing environment focused on the design, development, and continuous improvement of packaging solutions for complex electromechanical components.
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and improve packaging solutions for component transportation and internal manufacturing operation
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure packaging meets operational requirement
- Support packaging standardization initiatives and process improvement
- Assist with supplier selection, management, and packaging performance review
- Develop and maintain packaging validation procedures and continuous improvement program
- Drive packaging solutions that improve product protection, transportation efficiency, and overall logistics cost
- Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for packaging optimization
- Support implementation of packaging equipment and material handling solutions within manufacturing operation
- Track and analyze packaging performance metrics and KPI
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident for this role
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in packaging, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain operations
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing or automotive environments
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods
- Experience with distribution, fulfillment, or logistics operations
- Ability to interpret CAD models and technical drawings
- Familiarity with automation, robotics, warehouse automation, or material handling systems preferred
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Automotive, electric vehicle, robotics, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing industry experience
- Returnable packaging and supplier packaging development experience
- Packaging validation and transportation testing experience
