Summary

The Recruiter & HR Specialist supports Mowi's operations by leading full-cycle recruiting efforts and implementing effective staffing strategies to attract skilled and reliable talent. This role works closely with leadership to meet hiring demands in a fast-paced environment while ensuring a seamless candidate experience. The position also assists with onboarding and other HR activities to support overall workforce stability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment, from requisition through offer acceptance.
• Partner with Directors and Managers to identify hiring needs and develop job descriptions and criteria.
• Implement effective sourcing strategies and manage job postings across platforms.
• Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support the interview process with hiring teams.
• Collaborate on offers, including compensation recommendations, start dates, and key details.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring a positive experience.
• Conduct reference checks, background screenings, and maintain accurate recruiting data.
• Use recruiting metrics to improve sourcing strategies and hiring outcomes.
• Support onboarding and assist with general HR functions, including employee support and HR administration.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies.
• Proactive and able to take initiative.
• Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices.
• Experience with ATS and platforms such as Indeed and LinkedIn.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant work experience may be substituted for education.
