As an onsite role, the Physical Therapist will interact continually with both patients and colleagues, fostering a community of mutual respect and shared goals.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Orthopedic Physical Therapist will be responsible for:Directing physical therapy interventions aimed at improving patients' musculoskeletal function and alleviating pain, based on individual care plans.Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities using diagnostic tests to develop tailored rehabilitation strategies.Monitoring and overseeing the work of physical therapy assistants to ensure compliance with care protocols and modifications based on patient progress.Performing manual therapy techniques such as therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage to enhance mobility.Instructing patients and their families on rehabilitation practices, home exercise programs, and the use of adaptive equipment.Maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.Actively participating in interdisciplinary meetings to review patient progress and to collaborate on holistic treatment planning.Providing regular feedback to physicians and case managers regarding patient status and any necessary adjustments to treatment plans.Engaging in continuous education and professional development activities to maintain state licensure and enhance clinical expertise.Patient Population / Client FocusOur clinic serves a diverse population of patients, particularly those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions affecting mobility. The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work closely with individuals of all ages, focusing on tailored interventions that address specific rehabilitation needs while promoting independence and self-sufficiency in everyday activities.QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.Basic CPR certification.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.A commitment to addressing patients' physical rehabilitation needs through a compassionate and informed approach.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective documentation and patient education.Preferred ExperienceWhile one year of experience in an acute care or home care setting is preferred, we greatly value a proactive and eager approach to learning and development. Candidates with past experience in collaborative care environments will find our team culture supportive and enriching. Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and familiarity with regulatory guidelines are also beneficial.Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
