Quality Assurance InspectorPeraton is seeking an entry to mid-level Quality Assurance Inspector to support our Colorado Springs, CO, production manufacturing facility, as part of the company's ACUSIL program. This position will require work on site at the production facility.The Acusil® production department manufactures thermal protection materials for civil and military applications, and the customers we support are large and small Aerospace companies. The materials are engineered, molded, cured, machined to print, and bonded to customer-supplied artifacts. Our team delivers strong customer satisfaction through rigorous application of Quality Assurance processes, ensuring the highest product quality while maintaining strict delivery schedules.In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the QA Process Supervisor with inspection of manufactured products and verification activities related to the ACUSIL manufacturing program.Primary responsibilities will include:Final dimensional and visual inspection of piece parts and bonded assemblies.Including operating Coordinate Measuring Machine and various hand tools.Interpreting and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).First Article Inspection to AS9102 requirements.To include completion of all forms.Data entry of all inspection results in local database and ERP system.Submittal of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).Attend Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as needed.Provide inputs to MRB team on NCRs submitted.Perform follow-up actions assigned by MRB team.In-process quality checks as required.Receiving inspection.Ensure received product meets Purchase Order requirements.Review documentation for completeness and accuracy.Gather all tools due for calibration on a monthly basis.Additional duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma and minimum 1+ years of directly related experience with technical training.General knowledge of hand tools used for inspection (Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges, etc.).In depth Mechanical / Mathematical abilities.Basic knowledge of blueprint reading / drawing interpretation.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.Must be a US Citizen, (may be required to obtain a security clearance if required by the program)Ability to work independently as well as within a teamStrong Attention to detailWillingness to learnDesired Qualifications:2+ years' experience inspecting products in a manufacturing and machine shop environment.Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs (PC-DMIS is a plus).Experience with interpretation and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Writing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs (PC-DMIS is a plus).Technical writing experienceKnowledge of, and experience working to ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 processes and requirements.Working knowledge of a CAD software package (Fusion 360, Solid Works, Pro E, etc.).Knowledge of or prior experience in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement is a plus.Peraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
