Benefits and Eligibility Specialist, Onsite- Phoenix, AZ
Pay Rate: $18.61/Hr. Temp to Hire MF, 85 (100%On-Site) Local Candidates Only: Resume must specify current location
Duties/Responsibilities
- Review applications and determine eligibility for public assistance programs through interactive interviews and fact gathering
- Verify accuracy of application forms; follow up with applicants to gather missing info as needed
- Clearly communicate with applicants and recipients, address questions, and advise on benefit options
- Explain program rules/policies to claimants, representatives, employers, medical providers, and government agencies to gain needed facts
- Document determinations and deliver excellent customer service
- Travel to off-site meetings, training, or conferences may be required
- Attend in-person, 7-week training (required); potential transition to FTE after training
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years customer service experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma
- Ability to work onsite and provide own transportation
Preferred Experience/Certifications
- Experience with eligibility reviews or insurance adjudication
- Previous public assistance or government program experience a plus
