This well-established healthcare facility features a 28-bed Level III NICU and supports approximately 2,700 annual deliveries each year. The facility offers a highly collaborative, team-oriented practice environment with full pediatric and neonatal subspecialty support services, a dedicated neonatal transport team, and strong physician support throughout.

Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology


Job Details:

• Provide advanced neonatal care within a 28-bed Level III NICU
• Participate in an in-house NNP model delivering 24/7 coverage with rotating 24-hour shift scheduling
• Manage an average daily NICU census of approximately 19 patients
• Support approximately 2,700 annual deliveries
• Perform daily neonatal rounding and comprehensive patient management
• Deliver acute NICU care for critically ill neonates
• Attend high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitations
• Perform neonatal procedures based on clinical competency and experience
• Collaborate closely with neonatologists and multidisciplinary NICU staff
• Exercise strong clinical judgment and autonomous NNP decision-making
• Work alongside a dedicated neonatal transport team
• Utilize full pediatric and neonatal subspecialty support services
• Potentially participate in educational opportunities involving rotating medical students through partnerships with the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine
• Deliver evidence-based neonatal care focused on quality, safety, and patient outcomes
• Current APRN national specialty certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required
• Minimum Master's Degree in Nursing required
• Florida APRN License or eligibility to obtain required
• Neonatal/NICU clinical experience required
• Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
• This is a permanent, full-time position requiring residency within the immediate local area
• Relocation assistance may be available
