This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. The candidate will be traveling to different sites within a 30–70 mile radius performing preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs; manage and track completion.Support energy management by taking measures to ensure that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.Use communication skills to exchange straightforward information; respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors.Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.Conduct building inspections.Perform general building maintenance.Perform light plumbing.Perform light electrical work.Required SkillsGeneral maintenance skillsMechanical skillsBasic electricalBasic plumbingBasic carpentryResidential HVAC experienceExcellent customer service skillsAbility to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.Basic math skills; ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.Basic computer skillsCandidate must have a highly professional attitude.Preferred SkillsCommercial HVAC experienceAny advanced maintenance skillsiOS experienceEducation RequirementsHigh School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required; trade school preferred.In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.Universal EPA License requiredValid Driver's License requiredRequired Experience5–7 years of job-related experience required.Work Environment / Physical RequirementsCandidate must live within a 30-mile radius of the Northern KY / Ohio work area.Travel to different sites within a 30–70 mile radius is required.Must meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.Background check including drug screen and MVR (motor vehicle record) required.Some emergency overtime may be available.Independent work environment.Important NotesThis role is covering for a medical leave.
