(USA) Member Specialist

What You'll Do Provide member service and maintain the checkout area Resolve member issues and concerns, promote Sam's Club products and services, and guide members regarding self‑service technology Process member purchases, assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies for different membership and payment types Follow company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps and handling merchandise properly Correct and report unsafe situations to facility management Maintain entrance areas: acknowledge members, verify membership cards, identify member needs, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and promote the company's products and services Zone the area, arrange and organize merchandise, and assist members with transporting items to maintain a safe shopping environment Maintain exit areas: review member receipts, acknowledge members, identify member needs, and secure Sam's Club assets and property by observing and communicating potential criminal activity Maintain paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, execute emergency response procedures, and ensure compliance with company security and safety practices Assist with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teach new technology and tool functionality, deliver new program rollout training, and provide continuous learning and process improvement opportunities Ensure the area of responsibility is maintained per company policies by properly handling returns, zoning, organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages Follow and use company policies, procedures, and ethics standards, including the Open Door Policy, to execute business processes and practices Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress, recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback Company Values & Culture Respect the Individual: embrace differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences; create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected; build strong and trusting relationships; and mentor others Act with Integrity: maintain and promote the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance; model Walmart values; hold oneself and others accountable; and contribute positively to Walmart’s regenerative goals Serve our Customers and Members: deliver results while putting the customer first; make decisions based on reliable information; balance short‑ and long‑term priorities; and consider how one’s work impacts the team’s ability to deliver on the purpose for all stakeholders Strive for Excellence: display curiosity and a desire to learn; take calculated risks; demonstrate courage and resilience; drive continuous improvements; and embrace new technologies and skills Minimum Qualifications Retail experience, including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register) Experience working with mobile retail applications Preferred Qualifications Retail experience, including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register) Experience working with mobile retail applications Benefits Health benefits: medical, vision, and dental coverage Financial benefits: 401(k), stock purchase plan, and company‑paid life insurance Paid time off: PTO, parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting; additional PTO and/or PPTO for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes, meeting or exceeding applicable paid sick leave laws where applicable Other benefits: short‑term and long‑term disability, company discounts, Military Leave Pay, adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, and more Additional Compensation Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Pay The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00, and the actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
