1st Shift Sheet Metal Handwork Operator 

Starting pay $21.00 an hour plus based on experience. 

Entry level position, training will be provided.

Position Summary

Radius Aerospace manufactures sheet metal parts and assemblies for the aviation industry, using advanced metal‑forming and specialized processes across commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets.

We’re seeking Handwork Sheet Metal Production associates to join our team. You’ll use machine and hand‑finishing techniques to smooth and blend components into finished products, relying on excellent hand–eye coordination and hand dexterity.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

• Perform machine and hand finishing techniques
• Identify and properly use basic pneumatic tools such as drill motors, dotco's and countersink cutters
• Read and interpret drawings, illustrations, specifications and identifies their relevance to the manufacturing of parts
• Analyze work order/traveler, specifications, check fixtures, mylars and shop aids to perform handwork or rework of formed parts to comply with quality standards and customer requirements
• Operate automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures
• Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures

Education and Experience Requirements: 

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
